The Virginia Department of the Treasury is a state agency responsible for managing the Commonwealth's financial resources. Its mission is to ensure excellence in the management of banking, investing, and financing services, as well as the administration of unclaimed property and insurance programs. The department provides statewide financial services for agencies and institutions of the Commonwealth through six service area divisions: General Management, Debt Management, Risk Management, Operations, Cash Management and Investments, and Unclaimed Property.
